This is just a list of councils that may have
incentives or information about cloth nappies
and where to buy them. Most councils today have
started to look at the real problem of landfill
and the impact disposables are having on them.
The Government are under pressure from EEC countries
to get behind the international Agenda 21. In
Britain an alarming 50% of an average family's
waste is disposable nappies. The national figure
is at 4%, however some counties are running at
a much higher figure.
Below is a link to local councils that have active
cloth nappy promotional material and some even
offer cloth nappy incentives to local residents.
You may find that if you ring your local Waste
Mininalisation Officer or Environment officer
they are planning to put a project in place. Some
incentives are in the form of free trial packs
of cloth nappies (one per household) or money
back offers on some cotton nappy purchases. In
the main these don't have to be from a local supplier,
you just need to produce a detailed invoice of
your cloth nappy purchases. If you require one
from us please ask at the time of purchase. If
you have purchased some cotton nappies from us
within the last 6mths and your local council allow
it, we will send you a copy of your last 6 months
purchases.
